Don’t Drop It – Stop It!
Anti-Litter Campaign for North Earlham and Larkman
Don’t Drop It – Stop It!
The NELM Neighbourhood Management Team, working with partners, which include council officers from citizens’ services, neighbourhood wardens, HELM residents association, Future Radio and the local Police team are launching an anti- litter campaign in North Earlham and Larkman.
The campaign will run for the whole of May and seeks to engage residents in their bid to clean up the area with a series of litter picks and other initiatives. Local school children are designing posters to get the message across and reminders will be sent to encourage residents to make the best use of their alternate weekly bin collections.
There are many reasons not to litter, apart from spoiling the look and feel of an area, it damages wildlife and plants, increases pollution and attracts rats and other vermin.
Look out for information days locally as partners plan to be out in the community talking to residents about how they can help keep the area clean and tidy.
If you are a resident of the HELM area who would like to be involved please call Louise Curtis on 01603 734148 or email louise.curtis@marlpitcc.co.uk
