17/07/2012: Letters to our newborn selves

Bonjour madame et monsieur!

If you could write a letter to your newborn self, what would you say and what advice would you give? Adam and I wrote our own letters to our newborn selves and revealed them on this week’s show. Here’s my one:

“Dear you.. me.. you.. I mean me,

Well, hello. Eww, are you naked? Put some clothes on you exhibitionist!

Don’t worry about the bright light - you’ll be wearing glasses in 9 years anyway.

I have three pieces of advice for you, (once you’ve got some clothes on), whippersnapper:

1. Get used to your name - you’re stuck with it

2. Don’t be so shy

3. Be positive

Also on this week’s show, the challenge on Laurence vs Adam was to make our own song... out of nothing more than we can find in the studio! It was like recycling; I’m sure the Wombles would be proud. View the objects I collected for my “song” here. I, I’m afraid to say, failed massively. Adam came out triumphant again, bringing the scores on Laurence vs Adam to Adam 26 1/2 - Me 23 1/2. Ouch!
