Access To Music Level 1 CoursesNow is the time to apply for Access to Music level 1 courses at NR5 Project. From October 2008 we will be running courses for musicians, producers, vocalists and MCs. The courses are entry level so applicants need only to demonstrate an enthusiasm for music and an intention to learn and improve their abilities. The three courses offered will be:
All three courses are run over 23 weeks for 15 hours per week. Each course, or pathway consists of five units, four music based and one music business unit to improve or consolidate students numeracy, literacy and IT skills. The courses are free to anyone under 19 years old (plus 16 to 18 year olds are able to apply for an EMA grant of £30 per week whist they are on the course). The courses are also free to those on means tested benefits and there is no upper age limit for applicants. One of the major benefits of joining our music courses is that successful applicants will become a Norwich City College students, which qualifies them for an NUS card providing discounts from many companies accross the country. Introduction to Radio BroadcastingIf you're interested in learning about how to produce radio programmes, operate professional broadcasting equipment as well as an introduction to editing then these courses are for you! All training sessions will be delivered by Future Radio staff and volunteers will be able to register and get involved with Future Radio following the completion of the sessions. The courses are open to people of all ages and interests so whether your interests lie in presenting, technical areas or just learning more about radio broadcasting then please get in touch to register an interest in taking part.
