LGBT Month in Norwich

“Rainbow flags will fly across Norfolk on February 1st for the start of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Trans) History Month.

Poet and artist Vince Laws (who joined our Community Chest show to discuss the month on 29th Jan) will perform at the morning flag raising, and at the Launch Party at City Hall that evening, which kick-starts 28 days of events - and there's something every day in February.

There's a Children’s Party on Saturday 6th,  the launch of the Pride Arts Network on Wednesday 10th, romantic Valentine’s Dinners on Sunday 14th, a Poetry Supper in Cromer on Tuesday 23rd and more.

There’s comedy, drama, sport, politics and parties to enjoy.

Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans (LGBT) History Month takes place every year in February. It celebrates the lives and achievements of the LGBT community. LGBT people have often hidden themselves in society for their own safety and have also frequently been ignored by others for their achievements and contributions. By presenting an honest appraisal of LGBT lives we seek to replace ignorance with knowledge and understanding.
