We are thrilled to be able to announce our Christmas and New Year Schedule featuring some special shows. Here are some highlights.

Monday 23rd December

7pm Pride Christmas Special

David Mann presents his annual Future Radio show featuring artists from the Eurovision Song Contest as they turn their attentions to a selection of seasonal favourites, plus some newly-released Christmas tracks too.

8pm An Alternative Christmas with James Clayton

James brings you a selection of the alternative Christmas tunes that you don’t always hear!

2pm Gardening Show with Ellen Mary

If you’re thinking about your garden on boxing day Ellen has some tips with her guest, vegan nutritionist, personal trainer and Youtuber Hench Herbivore.

3pm Future 50 2019 with Toby Newton

Toby presents our annual countdown of the most played songs on Future Radio in 2019, a celebration of the best new music we’ve played over the past year.

6pm Groove Britain: McCartney

Nigel Pearce and Alan Thompson look back and play a special interview Alan conducted with the legend himself Paul McCartney.

7pm Doo Wop Deluxe with Steve Morphew 

Steve delves into the archive to bring you the often overlooked 1950s street music, Doo Wop.

8pm Eclectic Selection 1979 Special with Richard Penguin

As we reach the end of a decade Richard looks back to the end of the 70s with a celebration of the music of 1979.

David Mann returns with a turn-of-the-year special, featuring new music from Eurovision artists, including all those who finished in the top five positions on the scoreboard at the 2019 Contest in Tel Aviv, and also looks forward to the new Eurovision 'season' which gets underway in countries across Europe (and beyond) once again in January.
