23rd – Norwich Rock Choir Taster Session @ Chapel Field Road Methodist Church.
- Have you ever wanted to join a local choir? Well the Chapel Field Methodist Church are running a free taster session for anyone seeking to join.
- Joining the choir can lead to amazing opportunites and help improve your confidence, as well as being a cornerstone at the heart of a local community.
- The free session begins at 10:30am and runs until 12pm.

23rd – Behind the Scenes Tour @ Norfolk Records Office.
- Norfolk Records Office are running a behind the scenes tour, allowing for a special look at carefully-preserved documents from Norfolk’s past.
- You have the opportunity to see the conservation studio where their documents are repaired, the strongroom where the collection is stored and see a display of original documents.
- The tour starts at 10am and lasts until 12:30pm.
- Tickets cost £7 and can be booked through their Eventbrite page.
25th – DVNE & Sleemo @ Voodoo Daddy’s
- Join progressive metal anarchists, Dune, as they perform at Voodoo Daddy’s Showroom.
- Formed in Edinburgh in 2013, Dune find a perfect equilibrium between heavy doom rock and cosmic serenity.
- They are joined in support by local Norwich band, Sleemo who boast a scattershot mix of stoner metal, hardcore and alt-rock for an entirely unique and heavy sound.
- It gets underway from 7pm, to attend, you’ll need to get your tickets from the Dice website.
26th – The Four Seasons & Lark Ascending by Candlelight @ Norwich Cathedral
- Experience the ultimate fusion of classical masterpieces with our captivating concert featuring Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Vaughan-Williams’ Lark Ascending performed by captivating candlelight.
- Vivaldi’s virtuosic violin concertos will transport you to the vibrant landscapes of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, while Vaughan-Williams’ ethereal melodies will awaken your senses and evoke a sense of tranquillity.

27th – Dragon Boat Race @ Riverside
- The Dragon Boat race is coming to Riverside! The Brave Futures charity aim to get 14 teams on the water to take part in heats, culminating in a grand finale!
- The money raised will go towards Brave Futures vital specialist support service, supporting children in Norfolk.
- No experience is required and you will be given all the support you need, you just need 10 paddlers and 1 drummer and you are good to go!
- It begins at 10am from the Lady Julian Bridge in Riverside.

27th – The Joys of Spring @ Sparham Pools
- Join our volunteer Zelda on a free guided walk around the stunning Sparham Pools, looking for signs of spring among its flora and fauna along the way.
- This is an informal walk aimed at people who don’t have much knowledge of nature and wildlife but would like to learn more.
- Please bring binoculars if you have them and please wear walking boots / shoes as the paths around the lake can get muddy.
- Please note that all under 18 year olds must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Meet at the carpark entrance to start at 10am and the walk should end at 1130am.

27th – Outdoor Car Boot Sale @ Thorpe St. Andrew
- Come along to the outdoor car boot at the Fitzmaurice Park, just off Pound Lane in Thorpe St. Andrew.
- Sellers can set up from 9am and the event opens to buyers from 9.30am.
- Pitches are £7.00 on the day, payable by cash or card.
- There are refreshments available on-site throughout and it’ll all wrap up at midday.

28th – Spiritual Wellness and Craft Fair @ The Feed Waterloo Park
- Head along to Waterloo Park for a spiritual wellness and craft fair, taking place above The Feed in the pavilion.
- You can expect to find tarot and oracle readings, healing and crystals, jewellery, local crafts and much, much more.
- Event is completely free, just turn up and lose yourself in a spiritual world. There will be an option to donate to Orion’s Embrace – a group which offers spiritual healing to communities.

4th – Indoor Pre-Loved Pop Up @ The Costessey Centre
- Hunt for a bargain or just have a declutter at the Indoor Pop-Up at The Costessey Centre.
- Sell your clothing, shoes, toys, jewellery and books.
- There is free entry and free parking on-site, just email info@costesseytc.org or call 01603 742958 to book a table.

4th – Cribbage Six Card Singles Competition @ The Brickmakers

5th – Norwich Vegan Parkfest @ Chapelfield Gardens
- The Norwich Vegan Parkfest is back and taking over Chapelfield Gardens again this May!
- The event will bring together an incredible selection of vegan street food vendors, artisan bakers, craft brewers, ethical jewellers, local artists, environmental charities and loads more.
- Whether you have been vegan all your life or want to start, this is the place to go to immersive yourself in everything vegan.
- At 10:30am – 4pm you can go along at any time to experience all the different stalls.
8th – 11th – Oklahoma @ Maddermarket Theatre
- The East Norfolk Operatic Society present to you an amateur production of Oklahoma!
- It’s based on the play ‘Green Grow the Lilacs’ by Lynn Riggs, with original choreography by Agnes De Mille.
- You can expect a lively, tuneful musical full of cowboys, farmers, romance and fearless optimism!
- There is a performance every day between 8th – 11th May at 7:30pm, with an extra 2:30pm performance on Saturday.

Mondays
Fine City Samba Rehearsal @ Marlpit Community Centre
- The Fine City Samba group have regular rehearsals every Monday from 7:30-10pm.
- It’s free of charge for first timers, so if being part of a Samba band takes your fancy, why not pop along tonight?
- You can just watch for a bit or join in on any instrument!
- Rehearsals take place at the Marlpit Community Centre with onsite parking and wheelchair access.

The Hackspace – Mondays 7pm @ Lion House
- The Norwich Hackspace is open every Monday for visitors to pop in for free!
- The weekly sessions see members get together to discuss ongoing projects and share information in the world of computing.
- If this tickles your fancy, the session is happening tonight 7-9pm at the Lion House on Muspole Street. More information is available here.
50+ Lunch Club @ The Phoenix Centre
- If you are aged 50 or over, come along to the Phoenix Centre lunch club on the last Monday of each month for a free opportunity to socialise, have a hot lunch and receive some information & advice.
- Lunch is served from 12pm, and you will also have the chance to join in with quizzes, games and occasionally bingo. There is no set cost for attending this group or for the lunch, just donate what you can.
- An AgeUK specialist will be available from 11am-2pm to help provide the support needed to overcome stress and worry.

Norwich Board Gamers @ St. Andrews Brew House
- The Norwich Board Gamer’s weekly gaming night is on every Monday and Tuesday at St. Andrews Brew House!
- They play a very wide range of games and you can bring yours in if you wish, or play those brought in by others.
- Anyone is welcome to come along and there is no charge or membership fee. Just turn up by 7:30pm and join in with any game that interests you.
Hester Yoga Classes @ Thorpe End Village Hall
- Why not try something new and get fit with the Hester yoga classes at Thorpe End Village Hall.
- The classes run every Monday from 7:30pm – 9pm and will help improve strength, flexibility, balance, posture and muscle tone, boost energy levels, and could even help with your mental health and quality of sleep!

- Block payments for multiple classes cost £9.50 per class, with the cost for single class payments costing £11.50 but this is subject to space.
Tuesdays
Norwich Community Choir @ St. Cuthbert’s Church Hall
- Norwich Community Choir are holding their rehearsals at St. Cuthbert’s Church in Sprowston at 7:15pm.
- As well as being involved in a friendly and welcoming group that loves to sing together, the Community Choir offers it’s members a rich social life!
- There is scientific research that shows us singing can lower blood pressure, improve immunity and increase happiness!

Improvers Ballroom and Latin @ Silver Road Community Centre
- This one is for those who want to start the year by learning a new skill, or even for those who want to brush up on their dancing skills!
- Silver Road Community Centre are putting on friendly, mixed level ballroom and Latin dance classes.
- A new dance will be the focus each week! So, come on down with or without a partner and try out the Cha Cha!
- You can pay on the day, each session costing £7.00.
- This session will start at 8:30pm and make sure to wear comfy clothes and shoes.

Women’s Self Defence Classes @ AR Krav Maga
- AR Krav Maga are home to some incredibly empowering women’s self-defence classes, and you can get involved!
- They combine the force combination of Kickboxing with effective self-defence techniques. These classes are for women by women.
- You’ll get to train in a safe, secure and comfortable environment – so you can concentrate and stay fit!
- After a few classes you’ll start to feel Safer, Fitter, Smarter and be Always Ready.

Coffee Morning @ St. Mary & St. Margaret’s Church
- The volunteers at St. Mary and St. Margaret’s church in Sprowston run a coffee morning every Tuesday, to provide you with the opportunity to relax and catch up with others from your community!
- It’s often well populated, with some attendees having done so for many years, maybe this could be your Tuesday morning spot from now on!
- It’s happening from 10:30am until midday.

Cost of Living Support Drop In @ New Hope Christian Centre
- The New Hope Christian Centre are holding regular drop in sessions to give you space to talk about cost of living concerns. This could be money, housing, debt, benefits, bills or budgeting concerns.
- The drop in sessions take place from 12 – 2pm and you can just turn up, there’s no cost or booking involved.
Chatty Cafe @ The Forum
- Cafe Marzano at The Forum are holding regular meetups for a chat and a natter, their goal being to eradicate loneliness.
- With no joining fee, no membership and no faff, it’s easy to get involved, just look out for the tables with the yellow cards!

Cool Spot Coffee Morning @ St. George Colegate
- St. George Church Colegate host their cool spot coffee morning every Wednesday from 10:30am – 1pm.
- Though conceived as a hot spot to help those in need find warmth and refreshment in the winter months, it’s running in the summer too – offering drink, cake and a warm welcome in the coolness of the church.

The Future Radio Pub Quiz @ The Fat Cat and Canary
- Hosted by one of our Future Radio DJs
- It’s at 8pm every Wednesday (except when Norwich City play at home on that day!)
- There’s a street food van

- All to raise money for our parent charity Future Projects, tackling poverty, deprivation and disadvantage in Norfolk and Norwich

Norwich Wellbeing Choir for Women @ Martineau Hall (Colegate, NR3)
- Enjoy the benefits of singing with others, boost your mental health and feel rejuvenated by attending the Norwich Wellbeing Choir for Women at Martineau Hall.
- This small and welcoming group gather every Wednesday morning between 10-11:30am and sing songs from many genres.

Beginners Swing & Balboa Classes @ Louis Marchesi Pub
- With two classes every Wednesday, the Louis Marchesi pub is home to beginners Swing and Balboa classes!
- The classes give you memorable moves to get you started on the dance floor and supports you to feel confident dancing with new people.
- A swing beginners class will be 7 – 7:50pm, followed by a Bal-swing mixed level class at 8.

Wellbeing Cafe @ Silver Road Community Centre – Wednesdays
- Silver Road Community Centre open their doors every wednesday 12:30-3:30pm for their Wellbeing Cafe.
- You can expect some lovely cake, a cuppa and some great company!
- On top of this, every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month they run bingo sessions too!
- To get involved, just turn up at Silver Road Community Centre, although when the bingo is on, that’ll cost you £1!

Norwich Craic Comedy Club @ Pogue Mahons
- Every Thursday from 8-10pm, Hooma Comedy hosts a new line-up down in the cellar at Pogue Mahons!
- So, if you fancy enjoying some live stand up comedy in a great atmosphere, this is the event for you!

Baby Peep Group @ CFM Early Childhood and Family Service Base (Mile Cross)
- Bring your little ones to the Peep baby group and develop their key skills, such as talking, singing, reading and sharing.
- Peep supports parents with young children from birth to aged five through sharing ideas and engaging them with fun activities, giving children the opportunity to play with others their own age.
- The club is running from 10:30am – 11:30am every Thursday throughout April and May, beginning on Thursday 18th April and ending 23rd May.

- This started as a Cribbage evening, but any card game suggestions are more than welcome, it’s a relaxed group that will play whatever they fancy!

Youth Olympic Weightlifting – Afterschool Sessions @ Mukanda Weightlifting Club
- If you’re a young person and are keen to try something new whilst keeping fit, then why not attend the Youth Olympic Weightlifting afterschool sessions at Mukanda Weightlifting Club.
- The sessions are suitable for 8–16-year-olds and parents are more than welcome to attend – they may even learn something new about weightlifting.
- The hour-long sessions run from 5-6pm every Friday until August.
- Prices are £5 per youth and you can register your interest through their Eventbrite page.
An Afternoon at Notcutts Garden Centre & Cafe for 50+yrs
- On the last Friday of every month from 2pm-4pm, AgeUK organise a group get-together for anyone aged 50 and over at Notcutts Garden Centre and Cafe on Daniels Road.
- You can enjoy a hot drink whilst tucking into a sweet or savoury treat and take a look around the garden centre.
