Future Radio - Normal Service has resumed!
Future Radio is broadcasting again on its FM signal, 107.8fm. Radios across Norwich were able to tune-back-in to their favourite station from Thursday afternoon following the return of power to Markham Tower. Future had been unable to broadcast on fm for 2 whole days after their transmitter had been switched off for health and safety reasons due to the extensive fire at Markham Towers in the city on Monday night.
Fans of Future Radio can now listen on 107.8FM and listen online at www.futureradio.co.uk/listenlive.
Station Manager Terry Lee and his team have been working since Monday to resolve the situation and are delighted to announce that Future Radio is back : “Future Radio’s FM signal reaches 140 000 listeners across Norwich and we had taken dozens of phone calls from worried fans who have been asking where their radio station had gone. Now we are now receiving lots of messages saying how pleased they are to have their favourite shows back on the FM signal.” Terry adds “Some have been saying the last two days have emphasised how much Future Radio provides an alternative listen – they didn’t know what to listen to instead!”
Future Radio was recently listed top in an independent Ofcom survey as the station whose listeners were most engaged with and the recent deluge of messages from concerned listeners over the past few days have certainly backed these findings up.
