Mustard City Rockers

Mustard City Rockers formed in 2006 by members of several prominent Norwich punk/hardcore bands (including Project Mork, Visual Offence and Judder & the Jack Rabbits) as a good excuse to try something different and breath new live in to the Norwich underground scene.  Abandoning heavily distorted noise bringers in favour of more traditional instruments (mandolin, accordion, banjo, double bass, penny whistle and washboard) they set about creating their own brand punk influenced acoustic folk.

Already well received in their native Norfolk, (regularly selling out Norwich venues and pulling huge crowds at festivals) their popularity is growing in distant realms all over the UK.  The sound has been compared to bands such as the LEVELLERS, the POGUES and the CLASH but they draw influence from far and wide with witty, insightful and often political lyrics combined with beats and melodies so infectious that sitting still at one of their shows is nearly impossible.

Fresh from touring the UK in September in support of their self released debut album ‘GET INVOLVED’ they are truly capable of being THE NEXT BIG THING!
