One Member Short

The band line-up consists of Lolly Cowley (19) Vocals, Chris Parker (20) and Gavin Mann (17) Guitarists, Marc Cowley (22) Bass Guitarist and Liam Skelly (20) Drums.     One Member Short have been together as a punk pop/rock/acoustic band since 2004 originally under the name of Boldly Going Nowhere!  They played as a 3-piece for a while with Lolly on vocals and bass guitar until their drummer left, when  Marc and Skelly joined in 2007 and Gav joined in 2008 to give a fuller sound and a new perspective.     OMS have gigged all over East Anglia with their most recent outing to Halesworth’s Gig in the Park 2009 Festival playing on the main stage, other recent gigs are Harvest Moon Festival 2009,  K-Fest 2009, several charity events and over the last couple of years  Beccles Carnival 2007/2008, Brewery Tap Battle of the Bands, Millennium Volunteers Proms, Pubs, Clubs, Private Parties, basically everywhere and anywhere and enjoyed it all.      OMS write all their own material with a selection of fast moving, moody, live and loud sounds - also playing covers that interest them changing them to suit their style and Lolly’s vocals and their main influences are Blink182, New Found Glory, Rise Against, Biffy Clyro, Muse and many more.     They recorded their first album Split Black in 2008 with 8 original songs on which has been a great success and they have recently recorded 4 new songs at Big Sky Studios in Suffolk. They have been so busy this year that they have decided to take some time out after November to write some more songs and record another album.     Lolly completed a 2 year vocal course at Access to Music in Norwich a year ago and has just finished the first year of a Musical Theatre course at City College Norwich.  Marc and Gav are apprentice mechanics, Chris works as a sales assistant and Skelly works for Hoseasons Holidays.      The thing that brings them together as friends and band members is their passion for music.
