Future Radio's Only Princess

About me

I came to Norwich with my worldly possessions in a rucksack after searching all around the world for my fortune (I didn’t find it but I had a good time looking).

11 years on I have three children and a house full of tat – how did that happen? Well, I know where the children came from!

I have volunteered in quite a few places in Norwich, but until I came to Future Radio none really felt like quite like home.

I discovered world music when I began to travel in my early twenties after a lonesome trip to Turkey and an encounter with a belly dancer, and have built up a pretty extensive collection over the years. I’ve also been involved with carnival since 2001, designing and making costumes and taking part in local and national carnivals and this is where I developed my particular love for Soca which is Caribbean carnival music.

You can hear me and my music collection every third Sunday evening between 6 and 8pm, expect to hear a diverse and eclectic mixture of world music to move you

Role at Future Radio
