About me
I realised how great music was in the 1980s...when I heard some of my Dad's 1950s and 1960s records. I swiftly abandoned contemporary music and went on a voyage of discovery. I'm pleased to say that voyage still continues, and has led me to many great experiences. Long live rock and roll!
My personal music heroes are Lonnie Donegan, Little Richard, Roger McGuinn, Joan Baez, Neil Young and Loudon Wainwright III. There are in fact many more, but these are a few people that I feel don't get the appreciation they truly deserve.
One of my other interests is the preservation of audio recordings- I transfer them from old reel to reel tapes or cassettes and ensure I do the best possible transfer each time.
Away from music I lecture on Film and am involved in short film production.
One of the great highlights of recent times was getting to spend some time on Future with Peter- we love every show we do, and I hope that enjoyment is somehow communicated to you, the listener. You can catch our '60s and '70s show on Saturday mornings between 7.00 and 9.00 a.m.
