Chance Music 05 12 10

By Bob Shingleton - Posted on 05 December 2010

This Chance Music programme features an exclusive interview with American composer and new technology guru Jeff Harrington. Jeff studied at the prestigous Juilliard School in New York and as well as composing electronic and acoustic music he is active in web site creation, computer programming and graphics, and created the first online Sesame Street games. The programme was recorded in Avignon in the south of France where Jeff now lives. Discussions, which range from Frank Sinatra via a delusional Iranian conductor to the role of the internet in music distribution, are mixed with a generous helping of Jeff Harrington's music.

I wish you'd covered a little more of the details of Harrington's microtonal systems. Google doesn't give a lot of good references for 19-tone equal temperament, and neither does Harrington's website.
