Norwich has a thriving food scene, from fantastic independent restaurants and cafes to our award-winning market that is full of incredible eateries. And for Norwich’s vegan community, there has never been a better time to eat out and about. Future Vegan celebrates what the city has to offer, as well as reflecting on national and global vegan news.
Through regular guest interviews with vegan food producers and lifestyle promoters, the many facets of veganism are discussed, tackling the issues that are important to the vegan community such as health and lifestyle, environmental concerns and animal rights. If you are considering making the change, our presenters are here to guide you through your decision, offering hints, tips and recipe ideas to help you on your way.
Presenters Laura Richardson and Ben Tonks, along with Vegan news reporter Emily Moore, broadcast Future Vegan every other Thursday. The show is repeated on Saturdays and is also available on www.futureradio.co.uk’s Listen Again pages.
Future Vegan is broadcast from Open, Norwich’s Youth Trust venue at the heart of Norwich city centre. Laura, Ben and Emily have all the local insights of vegan living in Norwich, a city that is one of the UK’s hubs for veganism. Alongside their plant-based discussions, you can expect to hear music exclusively by vegan artists, so expect to hear the likes of MacKa B and Erykah Badu floating across our airwaves.
