2nd and 4th Sunday of each Month, 8-9pm.
Zappa Files aims to take a light-hearted look at the music and life of Frank Zappa by playing music which will appeal to both the hardened Zappa fan as well as those new to his music. Frank Zappa died in 1993 aged 53 and to date has produced a back catalogue of some 100+ albums which provides plenty of ammunition for a regular show. With music styles including rock, pop, soul, funk, gospel, blues, jazz – these combined with his unrivalled guitar playing, there is surely something for everyone.
Zappa Files was born out of the frustration of never hearing the music of Frank Zappa played on any public media, and in particular the radio. With that in mind an idea for the show was born and having approached Future Radio, they were happy to have the show on their schedule, now there’s no turning back.
Zappa Files aims to reach out and embrace the existing Zappa fanbase, often hidden beneath the radar, and offer an opportunity for this fanbase to get involved. It is the ultimate aim of the show to bring in listeners who may wish to jointly host the show and or bring along their music to be played.
