A fantastic opportunity to listen to music from around the world. The three World Cultures' presenters are on a three week rotation and will be bringing an eclectic mixture of music from around the world.
Expect to hear music from the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, Australia, the Americas, Europe (east and west)...in fact music from all over the world.
From hip hip to ragga, soul to swing, jazz, blues, soca, reggae...you name it, you'll hear it.

Amazing sounds from the streets of Adelaide, South Australia
While on holiday in Australia, visiting our daughter in the beautiful town of Adelaide. We took a trip down town to the main shopping centre. As we were walking along we heard some rather different, but very pleasant music. We decided to take a closer look and there we saw Lindsay Buckland, a talented street performer. He was playing a rather unusual musical instrument called an Electric Dulcimer.

Nowruz means New Day. "Nowruz is a celebration of the Spring Equinox. It has been celebrated by all Mesopotamians. Sumerians, 3000 BC, Babylonians 2000 BC, the anciant kingdom of Elam in Southern Persia 2000 BC, Akaddians all have been celebrating it in one way or another.
