Covering everything from the Stranglers to Sleeper along the way.There's also great ticket giveaways for the ever popular 80's & 90's club nights at the Waterfront every week. Another thoroughly enjoyable cruise through the decades today and thanks to everyone who came through with some excellent requests.We touched a couple of genres we don't usually visit on Saturday mornings with Althea and Donna,The Sugarhill Gang and Run DMC.This week's Classic Album was ' Penthouse & Pavement' by Heaven 17 and,as always, the Connected feature stumped you all.For the record,the connection between Tubeway Army,INXS and David Bowie was the ridiculous monikers they saddled their children with.Next week we'll have another Connected trio of tracks and we revisit a Top 10

Come and join me on Saturday morning from 9am for 2 hours of classic tunes from the late 70s through to the mid 90s.After a weeks enforced break I’m back to bring you (amongst others) – The Alarm , Gang Of Four , The Clash , Carter USM and something a little bit different for a change from The Sugarhill Gang & Duran Duran (!) .We’ll also be looking at a Classic Album from the early 80s and as always playing anything you want to hear.Look forward to you joining me then……

Another morning of retro mayhem - touching all genres of the Sound Of The Suburbs timeline.

This week's retro chart was the Top 10 from 1985 including the fantastic cover of I Feel Love by Bronski Beat & Marc Almond.The Artist You May Not Know was Dinosaur Jnr and our connection between The Farm,The Undertones and Blancmange was Clarks Shoes TV adverts.

Next week we have 3 more connected tracks,another Artist You May Not Know and we welcome the 3rd inductee to The Sound Of The Suburbs 'Hall Of Fame'.

XTC , A Certain Ratio , Suede , The Undertones , Dead Kennedys , Kraftwerk , Frankie Goes To Hollywood and other great artists.We'll also have a look at the Top 10 several years ago and I'll be playing any tunes you request during the show.
