Role Commitment

Specific Responsibilities
Research & Outreach
- Business Prospecting: Research local businesses, social enterprises, and organisations that could benefit from advertising on Future Radio.
- Database & Contacts: Help build, update, and maintain a clear database of prospective advertisers and community partners.
- Initial Introductions: Contact prospective clients by phone or email, introduce Future Radio’s advertising opportunities, and route interested leads to the main Partnerships lead.
- Spotting Opportunities: Identify seasonal trends, new local business sectors, or custom sponsorship ideas for specific shows.
Networking & Relationship Building
- Local Representation: Attend local business networking events on behalf of Future Radio to represent the station and build connections.
- Partnerships: Build positive, lasting relationships with local enterprise groups and corporate social responsibility (CSR) leads.
Admin & Support
- Record Keeping: Keep clear records of enquiries, conversations, and outcomes.
- Proposal Support: Assist with preparing media packs and tailored proposals for potential partners.

Personal Profile
We are looking for someone who:
- Has an interest or background in business, marketing, media sales, fundraising, or general account management.
- Is friendly, polite, and comfortable talking to people on the phone and in person.
- Is organised, reliable, and happy working independently or as part of a small team.
- Wants to gain practical experience or use their existing career expertise to give back to the community.
Note: Prior media experience is welcome but not essential – enthusiasm, a professional manner, and a proactive attitude are what matter most!

Future Radio is Norwich’s community radio station, broadcasting 24/7 on FM, DAB and online to listeners across Norwich, King’s Lynn and Cambridge.
We’re powered by over 90 volunteers who produce and present shows, share local stories, promote Norwich talent, and support our community through training and opportunities. Our aim is simple: to create radio that everyone who calls Norwich home, loves to listen to, wherever they are in the world.
Future Radio is part of Future Projects, a local charity that helps people and communities facing hardship through services in education, support and media.
