Local Playlist – February 2022

4th February 2022 in News, Radio

It’s February and that means a new selection of local music! Here are the Norfolk-based artists that have released musical masterpieces in the past month!

Alexander Carson – Museum

Alexander Carson is a songwriter from London who has just released his new project, from which this is the title track. ‘Museum’ will be digitally released on the 15th, and he’ll be playing a show in Norwich on 24th February.

BRØKE – SIRENS

New local band formed with members from various other acts including Setting Sons, they’ll be releasing their debut EP in March and have their first live performance at Gringo’s Tequila Bar on the 26th February.

Funderbuck Revival – Hard Flame

Local duo who featured several times on our playlists last year. ‘Hard Flame‘ combines infectious funk guitar riffs with crisp, punchy drums.

Love Trapezium – THANI

Local Tik-Tok sensations Love Trapezium have found a unique and instantly catchy sound, with their new single bringing together a somewhat glitchy, hyperpop instrumental with HTML Jones’ half-sung, half-rapped vocal delivery.

Marina Florance – Waves

Americana/Folk/Country artist Marina Florance has previously made the list with her song Rainbows, and her new single Waves pushes her sound in a more mellow direction in the form of a beautiful guitar ballad.

Settlements – Magnetic

Local alt-rock act inspired by the likes of Sonic Youth and Nirvana, who been playing gigs together since early 2019.

Tommy Winn – All This Lonely Heartache

Singer-songwriter Tommy Winn has just released his 5th original song, which is a nod to a classic country sound. Despite his small discography Tommy has been playing professionally for almost 20 years.

Tyler Nathaniel – Ecstacy

Young Norwich-based musician who has featured several times before on our playlist, Tyler’s new single is a spacey, synth driven journey of introspection.
