It’s mid-June and hay fever sufferers across the nation are probably crying. Here are the best Norfolk-based artists of the month that have released musical masterpieces!

Alexander Carson – I Swam
Alexander Carson is a neo-classical composer and singer-songwriter, whose latest track features beautiful arrangement and poetic lyrics.
Animals in The Form of Spheres – In The Painting
This track is about painter ‘Arshile Gorky’ missing his mum! The track features infectious synths and glassy guitars.
Bag of Cans – Hair of The Dog
Bag of Cans have finally got back in gear after the pandemic and have released a new track about the best hangover cure (oh no it doesn’t do the trick).
Cara Knox – Angels
Cara is a 25 year-old singer songwriter, originally from South Africa but now based in Norwich, she writes songs based off a combination of personal experience and fictional events.
Dagaow – Work-For-It
Dagaow Hardnezz is a Thetford-based artist who has featured on the playlist before with his afrobeat tracks.
Eliza Delf – Howl
Eliza is a singer-songwriter who is currently in her second year at the UEA, and this track comes from her debut album ‘Into The Wilderness’ which is out now.
Funderbuck Revival – California
Funderbuck Revival are a local duo who regularly feature on the local playlist, this track is titled ‘California’ but is about the California in Norfolk, not the US.
Julius Attwood – Nameless
Julius Attwood started learning guitar at 17 but only began singing a couple of years ago.
Macie Nyah – Copycat
Macie is a 20 year-old singer-songwriter who has featured on BBC Music Introducing for Norfolk and is back with a new track.
Paul Thompson – Lone Star
Paul Thompson is a singer-songwriter who has a Guinness World Record for longest journey by electric milk float, after he drove to the Edinburgh fringe in one! This track is from his new album, due for release on 17th June.
Planet Neil – Accidental
Planet Neil is a local electronic music artist, and this new track features Claire Kidman on lead vocals.
Wormhole – The Great White Slug
Wormhole are a newly formed band who have recently released a 6-track demo.
