About the Show
The Lost Gems show reflects Kingsley’s wide appreciation of different musical genres, and he believes that many of them are interconnected. The title is borrowed from one of his books that concentrated on obscure records from the sixties, but the radio show will draw from a wider time frame. Regular features will include Double Double, which will spotlight two quite different versions of the same song, and Deep Dive which will revisit some older songs from earlier decades like the thirties, forties and fifties. Listeners should expect to hear and celebrate a wide range of quality recordings that they may well have never heard before.

Kingsley first worked in publishing and education but has been involved with music for decades, initially as a fan and then later as a music journalist/reviewer working for several national magazines. He has had several books and CD projects published and has worked as an editorial consultant on major book projects with DK/Penguin. After being a guest on many radio shows he is very happy to learn about being behind the desk at Future Radio.
