- Happy working with others and taking the initiative
- An interest in radio, music, or community projects is a big plus!
Support & Training:
You’ll get a proper induction and ongoing guidance from the Station Manager and other members of the Future Radio staff, including our Community Fundraiser. About Us
Future Radio is Norwich’s community radio station — broadcasting 24 hours a day on FM, DAB and online to listeners across Norwich, King’s Lynn and Cambridge.
We’re powered by around 80 volunteers who produce and present shows, share local stories, promote Norwich talent, and support our community through training and opportunities. Our aim is simple: to create radio that everyone who calls Norwich home loves to listen to, wherever they are in the world.
Future Radio is part of Future Projects, a local charity that works to unlock the potential of people and communities facing hardship, through services in education, support and media.
You can find out more about the charity’s wider work at futureprojects.org.uk

Get Involved
Future Radio runs entirely on the energy and creativity of its volunteers — whether that’s presenting and producing shows, supporting in the office, updating our website, or helping with socials and promotions.
There’s no “typical” volunteer here, but everyone who joins plays a vital part in keeping Norwich’s community station running.
Volunteering with us is a great way to gain experience, build confidence, learn new skills, and meet like-minded people who love music, broadcasting and community life.
Many of our volunteers have gone on to develop careers in radio, media and beyond — and it all started right here at Future Radio.
Alternatively you can download an application form here and email it to our Station Manager, Dean Tucker, at d.tucker@futureradio.co.uk.
