The Money Matters Radio Show is our fortnightly money management tips and skills show. Featuring expert guests, insightful guidance and information about local services that can help you make the most of your money.
Tune into the next Money Matters show on Tuesday 11 January as we are joined by Steve Nunn from Community Action Norfolk.
It looks to be a difficult time ahead for households during the coldest months of the winter and beyond. Gas bills rising at an unprecedented rate, energy suppliers going out of business and shortages of lorry drivers leading to delays in heating oil deliveries – all these combine to be a big worry for residents across the region who are concerned about energy bills. Dereham-based charity Community Action Norfolk (CAN) is offering advice sessions to people who may be worried about managing their electricity, gas, heating oil and water bills.
Steve will be talking to us about what you can do to save money on bills, where you might be able to get help and how you can join one of the advice sessions.
The wider Money Matters service offers support and guidance to better manage finances and promote financial resilience.
The service offers:
- One-to-one support with basic finance and budgeting skills. Help with organising finances, household budgeting, setting up or switching utility suppliers for example. Referrals can be organised for more complex issues such as debt or benefits advice.
- Workshops on topics such as budgeting skills, debt management, banking, insurance and pensions. These will be either online or in-person.
- A twice monthly Money Matters show on Future Radio. Part of the Community Session, starting at 12.30pm on alternate Tuesdays. Podcasts from the show are available on the Future Radio website.
Money Matters is an open referral service. Request for support can be made by contacting…
