A project supported by Norfolk Community Foundation
We got together with Norfolk’s military service veterans, men aged 35 to 55 and those with long term mental health conditions, to offer a series of wellbeing-focussed activities. These included offering participants to the opportunity to:
- Record their stories – by creating their own radio show, sharing key moments from their lives and choosing music that has meaning for them
- Join a Podcast Club – a small, group of people, where participants can create their own podcast episodes on any subject they enjoy (sport, history, hobbies, military experiences, current affairs, music, etc.)
- Take part in a Record Club – relaxed listening and conversation sessions where participants choose songs or albums, talk about them and enjoy the music together
Our aim is to create a positive, social and creative programme that supports wellbeing, confidence, connection and skills development, whilst celebrating those taking part.
This project is supported by Norfolk Community Foundation through the Public Health – Empowering Communities for Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.
