April 2026
10th April – Later Life Letter at Norwich Theatre Playhouse
- Acclaimed award-winning live poet Luke Wright is touring his most personal show yet.
- Using spoken word, storytelling and stand-up, he delves into his own adoption and what it means to belong.
- Expect raucous laughter, tear-stained cheeks and a little smattering of drum n bass.
- Just £19.50 per person, starting at 8pm for 2 hours plus an interval.
11th April – Kean Kavanagh and Arthur Black at Voodoo Daddy’s
- Catch Kean Kavanagh at Voodoo Daddy’s this weekend at 10:30pm.
- Irish artist Kean Kavanagh emerged in 2020 with his imaginative project Dog Person, establishing himself as both a storyteller and world-builder.
- His debut album The County Star dropped in 2025 to critical acclaim, followed by a 15-date UK and Ireland tour.
- Tickets are just £10 and can be purchased on the Voodoo Daddy website.
11th April & 12th April – RNLI Titanic Talks, Norwich & Postwick
- Join Playwright, Director and Storyteller David Lawson Lean who will be telling us about the many children of the Titanic.
- There are several events taking place of Norfolk and Suffolk, including a talk at Postwick Village Hall at 7:30pm on the 11th of April and Maddermarket Theatre at 2:30pm on the 12th of April.
- Tickets are from £11, with proceeds supporting the RNLI charity, helping to keep us safe along the coast.
16th April- Senses of Unity at Carrow House
- For one afternoon only, Carrow House will open its doors for Senses of Unity- an immersive showcase of community and connection.
- Senses of Unity is a showcase event and an invitation to experience the impact of Norwich Unity Hub through sight, sound, touch, taste, smell, and spatial awareness (proprioception!)
- Since moving into Carrow House in October 2024, Norwich Unity Hub has transformed an under-used building into a thriving home for charities, social enterprises, and artists. This event centres on connection between people, ideas, and the shared spaces of Carrow House. It’s a moment to pause, gather, and experience the community that’s been built here together.
- This event will take place from 3:30pm-7pm and is free to attend.
18th April- Two Halves of Guinness at Norwich Theatre Playhouse
- Zeb Saones, acclaimed broadcaster and actor, embodies one of Britain’s greatest performers, Sir Alec Guinness, marking the 25th anniversary of his death.
- The heart-warming and insightful one-man show captures the extraordinary legacy and impact Guinness had.

- Event starts at 19:30 and will run for approximately 2 hours.
23rd April- Now That’s What I Call Autism 2026 at The Forum
- Now That’s What I Call Autism! 2026 is back for another vibrant celebration of autistic people, culture and creation.
- A welcoming day of community, connection and creativity with a wonderful mix of events such as a makers market, information and advice stands, talks and speakers, performances, networking and community space and more!
- This event is open to autistic people, families, friends, professionals and anyone who wants to learn, connect and celebrate alongside the community from 11am-3pm.
May 2026
24th May – Celebration of Life and Unity Festival at The Fat Cat and Canary
- Head down to the Fat Cat and Canary on Thorpe Road for their ‘Celebration of Life and Unity’ reggae festival.
- Expect a day jam-packed with the very best reggae artists, headlined by Prince Jamo from BlackRose Studios, Dougie Conscious, and MessanJah Sound System – as well as numerous others throughout the day.
- There will also be Jamaican food and record stalls on offer.
- Event is running from midday until close.
- No booking is required – simply turn up and have fun!

Mondays
East Anglian Film Network – Monthly meetup at Norwich Playhouse
- The EAFN Monthly Meetup is a free networking event for local filmmakers and creatives.
- Come along for a good conversation, over your choice of pint or tea, with local actors, directors, writers and more.
- Anyone who is interested in working or already works in film is free to come along – you are also welcome to bring a friend!
- This monthly event takes place every first Monday of the month (2nd Monday if there is a bank holiday) at the Piano Room in The Playhouse from around 7pm.

Fine City Samba Rehearsal at Marlpit Community Centre
- The Fine City Samba group have regular rehearsals every Monday from 7:30-10pm.
- It’s free of charge for first timers, so if being part of a Samba band takes your fancy, why not pop along tonight?
- You can just watch for a bit or join in on any instrument.
- Rehearsals take place at the Marlpit Community Centre with onsite parking and wheelchair access.

60+ Creative Writing Drop-In Sessions @ Dragon Hall
- If you’re aged 60 and over and are looking to kickstart your writing career, then head down to Dragon Hall on King Street for their creative writing drop in sessions.
- Enjoy a quiet, supportive environment where you can focus on your writing alongside like-minded individuals.
- There will be a facilitator on hand to offer ideas and encouragement, but feel free to work on your own idea too.
- The sessions take place on the second Monday of the month and run from 2pm-4pm.

Super Seedlings Playgroup at St. Catherine’s Church Hall, Aylsham Road
- The Super Seedlings, formerly the Messy Church, is a toddler group for pre-school children and is a chance to play, make different crafts and get nice and messy.
- A variety of activities take place throughout the morning, with a light soup lunch on offer as well.
- The event runs every Monday during term-time from 10am – 12:30pm.
- A donation of £2.50 per family is suggested and appreciated, if possible.

The Norwich Jazz Jam at the Last Pub Standing
- The Norwich Jazz Jam takes place every Monday at The Last Pub Standing (except on bank holidays).
- You can expect to find a gathering of jazz and blues musicians coming together for a wonderful evening of music.
- Everyone is welcome, whether you are an experienced musician or just a beginner, or simply an enthusiast, to share in the love of jazz, blues and swing.
- The event starts at 7:30pm and ends at 10pm. It is free, so simply turn up and immerse yourself in Norwich’s Jazz scene!

Hester Yoga Classes at Thorpe End Village Hall
- Why not try something new and get fit with the Hester yoga classes at Thorpe End Village Hall.
- The classes run every Monday from 7:30pm – 9pm and will help improve strength, flexibility, balance, posture and muscle tone, boost energy levels, and could even help with your mental health and quality of sleep!

Norwich Board Gamers at St. Andrews Brew House
- The Norwich Board Gamer’s weekly gaming night is on every Monday and Tuesday at St. Andrews Brew House!
- They play a very wide range of games and you can bring yours in if you wish, or play those brought in by others.
- Anyone is welcome to come along and there is no charge or membership fee. Just turn up by 7:30pm and join in with any game that interests you.
Norwich Community Choir at St. Cuthbert’s Church Hall
- Norwich Community Choir hold their rehearsals at St. Cuthbert’s Church in Sprowston at 7:15pm.
- As well as being involved in a friendly and welcoming group that loves to sing together, the Community Choir offers it’s members a rich social life!
- They have a reputation of passionate, polished, and uplifting performances.
- There is scientific research that shows us singing can lower blood pressure, improve immunity and increase happiness!

Self Defence Classes at AR Krav Maga
- AR Krav Maga are home to some incredibly empowering self-defence classes, and you can get involved!

Shuffleboard Club at Catton Grove Community Centre
- If you fancy testing yourself at a new game/sport, why not head over to the Catton Grove Community Centre for their Shuffleboard Club.
- Shuffleboard is a game for 2 or 4 people. The aim of the game is to out-score your opponent by shooting discs into the marked areas at the opposite end of the Shuffleboard mat.
- It’s easy to learn and the club is open to all ages and abilities.
- Sessions run from 12:30pm-2:30pm every Thursday.

Bond & Brew Friendship Cafe at Brooklands Care Home

REST Coffee Mornings
- Pop down to the REST café based at Churchman House on Bethel Street for their weekly café session.
- This is the perfect opportunity to meet new people, as well as indulge in their wide variety of snacks, including home baked sausage rolls, hot street food specials, jacket potatoes and ciabattas, as well as coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soft drinks.

Friday Fitness at Catton Grove Community Centre
- If you want to improve your fitness or just try something new, then head to the Catton Grove community centre for their Friday fitness sessions.
- Friday Fitness offers you the opportunity to exercise at a pace that suits you, with support and encouragement from a qualified fitness instructor, with the sessions being aimed at those aged between 25-60 who live in the local area.
- New members are welcome, just turn up to get involved.
- The session costs £2, or free if it’s your first session.
- The event runs from 9:30am – 10:30am.
Harford FAB Fitness at Harford Community Centre
- Head down to Harford Community Centre for their fun aerobics’ classes every Friday.
- This low impact class is a great way of maintaining fitness and improving mental well-being.

Saturdays
£1 Pre-loved Clothing & Accessories Sale at Castle Quarter Honesty Library
- New-U have got your Saturday for retail sorted with their pre-loved clothing & accessory sale at Castle Quarter.
- There will be hundreds of pre-loved items, including dresses, jeans and much more! And all items are just £1.
- Every purchase helps to embrace sustainable fashion, while supporting New-U’s charitable mission to support unemployed young people gain skills and confidence to help them find paid work.

Zine Club – Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library
- Zine Club is a monthly social where locals get together to make and discuss zines!
- From over 200+ topics such as activism, protest, local interest, gender and sexuality, photography, art, nature, and more.
- The gathering occurs every third Saturday of the month from 2 – 4pm at the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library.

Flow Dance Meditation classes at Horsford Church Rooms

Sundays
Sunday Social Run Club at Wright’s Café
- Start your Sunday with a refreshing run and a yummy treat from Wright’s Café on Bank Plain afterwards.
- Organised by the Fundamentality Run Club, this is the perfect event to socialise with like-minded runners, helping you stay physically and socially active.
- The team meet outside Wright’s café for 7:45am and are back in time for the café to open at 9am for a tasty treat and drink.

Pregnancy Walk for Wellness
- Frances Fraser is a Norwich Midwife who is launching a wellbeing walk for pregnant and postnatal women on the third Sunday of each month.
- It aims to support the physical and emotional wellbeing of mothers.
- Walking in pregnancy has many known benefits, such as improving emotional well-being, it can directly impact your babies development in the womb, plus feel the power of the connection to a group of women who are walking the same path!
- For new mothers this is a perfect opportunity to gently exercise, once you feel up to it. Fresh air and nature are such a tonic, plus meet other women and share the journey.
- Frances is also the founder of The Celestial Midwife and will be your guide and on hand for support and to discuss any concerns for questions you may have.
- The walks are free and meet at Eaton Park inside the top gate on North Park Avenue.

Every third Sunday – Bushcraft club at The Walled Garden
- A class for ages 12 and up to learn and develop important survival skills, build confidence and understand the natural world and the processes that define it.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult, and knife safety training must be completed before wood carving.
