4 on The Floor (& More) is a celebration of , but not exclusively, House\Disco\Dance Music, looking at the roots of the genre, it’s influences and bringing it up to date with new and original sounds. Looking at both classic tracks past and present. Ultimately showcasing the best music from the past and present. A musically entertaining and upbeat show that listeners would not only enjoy dancing or nodding their head to but also give some history and knowledge of the music being produced.
Meet Your Hosts
Rod Gant
Rod originally started Djing in the early 80s and soon got established with a residency as a Club DJ in Norwich playing alternative music from the standard fare with a mix of dance/hip hop/ Soul and later in the decade found his love of House music. After a break in the 90's he returned to Djing around 2000 playing at various venues across Norfolk, promoting events under the banner of ‘FreeForm’ and ‘DejaGroove’ and supporting Norman Jay MBE . Rod has continued to play live DJ sets at local events and parties as well as becoming a Radio presenter .
