Future Radio is thrilled to announce an exciting 24-hour broadcast event taking place from 9am on Thursday 29th August until 9am the following day. This special broadcast is a fundraiser for Future Projects, the parent charity of Future Radio, dedicated to tackling poverty, deprivation, and disadvantage in Norfolk.
The marathon broadcast will be presented by Tom Lorenzo, one of the hosts of Breakfast with Future Radio. Tom will be presenting for the full 24 hours voluntarily. Throughout the broadcast, Tom will be joined by other volunteer presenters from Future Radio, as well as a diverse lineup of special guests, including local musicians and other local voices.
You can support Tom by donating to Future Projects. When you donate you will have opportunity to choose your own song request which Tom will play on the show as a thank you.

100% of funds raised will go to Future Projects, to raise funds to help tackle poverty, and deprivation in vulnerable communities. Future Projects delivers programmes of support, advice and guidance, training, volunteering and education to help people.
The fundraiser is sponsored by Pizza Express, and Langley Toys are also providing support. You can tune in to Future Radio on 107.8FM in Norwich, DAB in Norwich, King’s Lynn and Cambridge, online or ask your smart speaker to “play Future Radio 107.8”.
“I’m somebody who loves a challenge, and for anyone who knows me personally it’ll definitely be a challenge for me to stay awake for 24 hours, let alone present radio! But it’s all for a wonderful cause and the experience is something I’m really looking forward to. I love Norwich and feel this is a great opportunity to give something back, as well as to showcase the talent we have at Future Radio and across our fine city, to the people of Norfolk and beyond!” Tom Lorenzo, presenter of the 24 hour broadcast.
“Tom really is a great presenter and all-round lovely man. He only joined us last year having never presented on radio before and now he’s going to be on air for a whole 24 hours! I’m pleased he will be leading Future Radio through this special broadcast. I’ll be with him all the way as well as our fantastic team of volunteers. Whilst Tom is at the heart of this, it really is a coming together of our volunteers and voices from our community to make this something special and, most importantly, raise funds for our parent charity who do a lot of work supporting people in our area in need of urgent help. I’d better stock up on the coffee – but not too much!” Dean Tucker, Station Manager
